Kayla's Wedding

We took a quick trip to NC from Sept 29 to Oct 1st. I can't believe Kayla is old enough to get married but she found an awesome guy!  Josh had to work Friday morning so we didn't get there until 6pm but we got the ground running! 



One of the only things Kayla wanted was bottles with flowers hanging from this tree.  Everyone tried to talk Kelly out of it because they didn't think it would work but as soon as Josh heard about it he made it happen.  It was beautiful! 
After Florena was done getting ready I brought in a painting that uncle Richard has in his office and the photographer snapped a picture.  I think this is the best picture I've taken in years.  Lol
Jack and Kaleb were in charge of directing people where to park and they took their job seriously!

 My friend Crystal told me that when she pulled up she just kept driving and waved at Jack and he was looking at her so seriously and didn't like that she didn't stop. The next time I walked out there he had moved Barrett's box to the middle of the road so they had to stop.  🤣🤣
Everyone kept telling us what a great job they were doing and they loved watching them ride wheelies in their suits. Lol
The boys were not happy with me for making them take pictures. This was the first pose Jack gave me.

I wanted to get her something special for her wedding day and she had been wanting these earrings and they looked beautiful on her! 

The wedding was beautiful and it was a great day! Kayla was absolutely beautiful and we love Carlos! 
I love this picture! 
It is so hard to believe that our flower girl is all grown up and getting married herself! 
I remember my wedding day and how Kelly was so nervous I was going to be upset because Kayla got chocolate on her dress before pictures but i was so happy I didn't care.  When she was looking stressed because people were russing her to get outside I told her to remember this was her day and she can get chocolate all over the dress if she wants.  ❤️
It was fun to see her and Leanna all grown up and still good friends! 
The reception was a blast and Josh kept working.  When he was taking the trash out one time someone asked him if he was a guest or just the help.  Lol 
I love this man so much!

This was after talking Jack into acting like he was part of the family.  🤣
There weren't any other kids the boys' age so they were pretty bored.  The best part of their night was figuring out that one of the remotes to the light cubes also controlled the lights around the top of the tent that a guy was controlling from his phone.  For about 40 min every time the guy did something the boys would use the remote to change it.  We laughed so hard watching him trying to figure out what was wrong with his app. Josh finally went over and told him and he laughed and thanked him for telling him cause he couldn't figure it out.  
It was so nice hanging out with family and friends that I hadn't seen in a while.  
Of course we had to get a picture with Kayla's giraffes lol
I asked Richie to take a pic of me and Kelly and of course he flipped the camera and this is what I got! 
Thank goodness Crystal was there to take this great one! 
                               The exit was fun! 
We stayed up till 4am and was back up at 8 and hung out with everyone until we left at noon. It was a prefect weekend! 
Kaleb fell asleep around 1:30am

First Day of School

August 21, 2023 I usually start school a week or two before the county so we have some wiggle room and can be finished by memorial day but since we were gone so long we started the same day as the county. Jack is in 8th grade.  He still hates school and thinks it's a waste of time.  🙄 I really hope this is the year he accepts that he has to do it and has a better attitude about it.   Kaleb is in 7th grade.  We had a long talk the night before about him being in middle school now and I'm not going to sit beside him all the time and walk him through his work.  🤞 for a good year!  I didn't plan a full jump in the first week and it went really well! I guess the fall is wedding season now because we had 2 in 2 weekends.  Josh and I were able to celebrate Roman and Teresa's wedding with them and a lot of our neighbors! The day was beautiful and we love their family so much!  Josh left the next day for Nevada for 6 weeks and missed Steph and Kenny's annual birthday party! I love that we celebrate the grown ups birthdays with the kids!  Our BMX team planned a day to go to a new skate park and when we got there there was an event going on that none of us knew about so it was so crowded.  Jack doesn't have a park bike so he brought a skateboard and I was so proud of him for just getting out there and trying even though there were so many people.  He really is growing up!  Then he took his mountain bike out there and had fun with the other kids on bikes Kaleb On Oct 21st we had t...

The last bit of August

Saturday, August 26th was the last VA state Qualifier, so we had to race it so they will be eligible to get State Plates at the end of the Season.  The race was at VMP just south of Richmond.  It's a dirt track that's really bumpy and not well maintained.  Kaleb slid out in the second turn in round 1 and Jack came in 4th abs only top two transferred so they both had to race the next round.  Round two wasn't kind to us.  Kaleb was taking first and slid out and hit another kid.  Izzy stopped to check on Kaleb and Holly and I kept yelling "go Izzy, get first!" LOL. Kaleb was down for a while and in shock for about an hour.  We were very thankful he didn't break anything but it was scary watching him so confused. We kept asking him questions and he couldn't answer some of them.  He couldn't remember how many kids were in his race and kept asking what happened.  He hurt his finger pretty bad and took a handlebar to the gut, but it could have been ...
