7/2 - 7/6
We went to Ocean City this year to spend the 4th of July with the Meckley's.  We stayed at the trailer that he bought last year, which is right on the bay. I was sitting on his boat reading a book on the morning of the 4th and a boat parade went by! It was so cool! 
He loves some Old Bay! 😂😂

A few months ago Josh got a Surf Kite off of Facebook Marketplace in Texas.  He finally got to try it! He did great! 
It was really chilly today! 
7-10
Josh decided he's tired of just watching BMX and raced his first race today! He came in 2nd! There's nothing this man isn't good at! 
7-16
Jack got his braces off today! I can't believe he's only 14, he looks like an adult must days. As soon as we walked out of the office I said "Jack, smile so I can take a picture now that your braces are off." This is what I got.  I laughed so hard cause this is typical Jack. I said, "Show me your teeth." He said,  "You just said smile, not show my teeth." 🤦‍♀️😂
We got milkshakes after and I caught him smiling.  😁
7-18
It was so windy today but Josh really wanted to boat so we took his surf kite out and watched him.  This was harder than the beach.  The boys swam so much chasing the board when he would fall. 
7-19
Kaleb's first time driving, not on Josh's lap.  He can reach the pedals and see over the steering wheel in the truck.  Lol
7/26 - 7/29
Being a military spouse isn't for the weak and I've been so blessed to do it with these 3 strong women! When they came for my 40th we decided we need to get together once a year.  We booked an Air B&B in the Poconos in PA. We drew names and bought each other a float and a Moo Moo! We had a great weekend spending our days at the lake. 
Sam brought Madison and it was great spending the weekend with her too.  I can't believe she's going to be a senior in high school this year! 
 Daily trips to wawa. Annie was obsessed because she'd never been to one before!
and our evenings watching crime documentaries.
I even made us cute cups to remember our trip!
We sure know how to have a great time even in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania! 😂😂  
I can't wait till next time!

Jack has been wanting an RC Plane and he finally saved enough to buy one! 
Kaleb made dinner while I was gone.  ❤️
7/30 - 8/3
The boys went to Young Men's Camp in Maryland.  It was a lot better than last year! 
Josh and I thought we were going to relax and spend some much needed alone time together. I guess we did but it wasn't all relaxing.  One night I started having really bad pain in my lower abdomen and side.  I knew something wasn't right so we went to the ER. Turns out I have gallstones.  We were there until 4am. Next stop, the surgeon's office.

We love any chance we get to watch our favorite Pro Lacrosse player, but it's even more fun when they win! Congrats, Whipsnakes!

The boys have been wanting to go to this Airsoft place in Manassas for a while.  We finally took them and they had a blast! 
8-10
A beautiful day on the River. Usually we are pulling someone behind the boat constantly, but today we took about an hour or more and just swam.  
We still had plenty of fun behind the boat too.  Jack has gotten so comfortable with surfing this year.

8-19
First Day of 8th and 9th grade! 
8-25
This year is getting off to a rough start. Homeschooling isn't easy.  At the end of most days I think it's worth it but some days are really hard.  
8-30
Josh is going to be gone on his birthday so we celebrated early.  He went boating last month with his friend from work and kept telling me how nice his surf boys was and that it was light and so smooth on the water.  I text Kenny and asked what kind he had and ordered him one.  He was so surprised and happy! 
Of course we hit the river so he could try it!

One of the best things about our new boat is the heater! Especially since Kaleb gets cold so much.  Josh decided to pack a sleeping bag that has a zipper in the bottom so he can put the heater in there.  Kaleb was so happy! 😂😂
9-4
Another season in our parenting journey has ended. Kaleb went back to middle school yesterday and Jack started high school this morning. Homeschooling has been, a very unexpected, but great experience for us, but High School is way more than I can handle. I love my boys, but for the sake of our relationships, this is the best choice. It's crazy how I feel exactly the same way as when they started Kindergarten. If you see me today with my big puffy eyes just smile and walk away lol

Josh has been gone this month so we haven't been on the water much.  We're trying to enjoy what warm weather we have left!
9-30
Josh and the boys were working on the track at Ken's garage yesterday and Josh a something in the creek and dug out a bottle.  He kept looking around and he and Kaleb dug all of these out! Josh loves old bottles so he was excited.  Two of them have moonshine in them. We put them in the freezer to see if they would freeze and they didn't.  They have to be really old.  This property used to be part of George Mason's estate.

6 months ago Josh text his family and gave them dates that we would be camping in Idaho and 31 of them made it! Josh has always told me of all the places he traveled, Alturas Lake is his favorite! We spent 5 days in the mountains without cell service, electric, and water because the campground didn't have any open sites. April, May, & June 2024

4-1 The ski hill that Josh grew up going to is still open but only on weekends, so they hiked to the top of it and made their own jumps.  The boys were not impressed with the journey getting up there but had so much fun once the work was done!  4-4 Our nephew Zach works at a zoo in Twin Falls so we went and saw him.  This is the perfect job for him! He's so knowledgeable about all the animals and you can see how much he loves what he does. We enjoyed our visit.  4-5 I took the boys to a skate park in Burley today and Kaleb had a pretty bad crash and we ended up in Urgent Care.   Good thing he can still play his oculus while he's recovering! 😂😂 4-6 They went back to Pomerelle on Saturday to snowboard.  The boys were so excited that they got to ride the lifts this time.  Haha ...

I guess the fall is wedding season now because we had 2 in 2 weekends.  Josh and I were able to celebrate Roman and Teresa's wedding with them and a lot of our neighbors! The day was beautiful and we love their family so much!  Josh left the next day for Nevada for 6 weeks and missed Steph and Kenny's annual birthday party! I love that we celebrate the grown ups birthdays with the kids!  Our BMX team planned a day to go to a new skate park and when we got there there was an event going on that none of us knew about so it was so crowded.  Jack doesn't have a park bike so he brought a skateboard and I was so proud of him for just getting out there and trying even though there were so many people.  He really is growing up!  Then he took his mountain bike out there and had fun with the other kids on bikes Kaleb On Oct 21st we had t...
