USA BMX Battlefield Nationals!

June 9-11 our local track was chosen to host the Battlefield National, this was a big deal so we spent weeks volunteering and preparing.  We planted bushes, put a fresh coat of slurry on the track, painted things that needed touched up, and the biggest project was the covering the men built over the staging area! It's going to be so nice for the kids to stand in the shade before racing instead of the hot sun! We really do have a great team of volunteers!
Friday's races went well.  Kaleb was mad because he messed up in the gate and got second.  Jack got 1st. I spent most of my weekend in merchandise sales but was able to watch the boys.

Saturday went then same except Kaleb had the great races.  He still placed second because more kids were there but he was happy cause he knew he had done his best!

Getting serious
Josh and Holly making sure everything runs smoothly! Lol
Kaleb and Knox waiting for their moto
The 2023 Send It Racing team!
Saturday was Jack's 10th win which means he moves up from a novice to intermediate. The announcer congratulated him over the loud speaker.  was so excited!
When I pulled in Saturday morning I thought I hit a hole until Josh text me this pic asking if I've been pa l driving long 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now, this is the worst part of the weekend... to I can usually sign up for a race the day of but with Sundays at Nationals you have to sign up before the end of racing Saturday.  Well, I had been working so much that weekend I completely forgot! We were hanging out at the team tent and I realized the races had ended.  Holly and I ran to the truck but they were leaving and said they had already sent the sheets in.  I literally went by my car, slid down to the ground and cried.  I felt terrible! Josh told the boys and they were not happy. They didn't say anything to me but if looks could kill I would be dead.

Later that night Kaleb did come to my room and tell me "Mom, it's OK that you didn't sign us up." That made me feel a little better but I just geek out like crap the rest of the night then still had to get up early and go to the track for my volunteer shifts lol
