July 17, 2023 Silverlake Sand Dunes, Michigan

I'm not going to lie, when I planned this trip I just added Michigan to it so I check it off the list of states I've been to, but let me tell ya, it's beautiful up here!

 We spent the day at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. They boys had a great time even though the terrain is a lot different than what they are used to. 
Barrett and I took a 3 mile hike out to the lake and I when I read pedestrian path I thought it would be hard, not difficult hard but a packed trail or asphalt hard, well it wasn't and Barrett hated walking in the loose sand as much as me so after meeting up with the boys and hanging by the lake, they went to ride more, and I did what I do best and hitched a ride out of there 🤣🤣
The boys were jealous when they saw the buggy I got to ride in! Of course, we couldn't leave without them driving their Traxxas trucks!
On our way out we stopped at the store where we bought our flags and they had the Traxxas truck Jack has been wanting and before we pulled out Josh asked me if he should let him get it.  I was shocked but said it was up to him so he told jack to go get it.  I took him in and he ran to the van after I paid.  I guess he wanted to get out of there so his dad couldn't change his mind.  
Barrett was so tired when we got back! He racked out for hours.  

After that we headed to the east side of Michigan to Lake Huron. Our camp site is right on the lake and I'm still amazed at how clear and blue the water is!

6 months ago Josh text his family and gave them dates that we would be camping in Idaho and 31 of them made it! Josh has always told me of all the places he traveled, Alturas Lake is his favorite! We spent 5 days in the mountains without cell service, electric, and water because the campground didn't have any open sites. 4-1 The ski hill that Josh grew up going to is still open but only on weekends, so they hiked to the top of it and made their own jumps.  The boys were not impressed with the journey getting up there but had so much fun once the work was done!  4-4 Our nephew Zach works at a zoo in Twin Falls so we went and saw him.  This is the perfect job for him! He's so knowledgeable about all the animals and you can see how much he loves what he does. We enjoyed our visit.  4-5 I took the boys to a skate park in Burley today and Kaleb had a pretty bad crash and we ended up in Urgent Care.   Good thing he can still play his oculus while he's recovering! 😂😂 4-6 They went back to Pomerelle on Saturday to snowboard.  The boys were so excited that they got to ride the lifts this time.  Haha ...

I guess the fall is wedding season now because we had 2 in 2 weekends.  Josh and I were able to celebrate Roman and Teresa's wedding with them and a lot of our neighbors! The day was beautiful and we love their family so much!  Josh left the next day for Nevada for 6 weeks and missed Steph and Kenny's annual birthday party! I love that we celebrate the grown ups birthdays with the kids!  Our BMX team planned a day to go to a new skate park and when we got there there was an event going on that none of us knew about so it was so crowded.  Jack doesn't have a park bike so he brought a skateboard and I was so proud of him for just getting out there and trying even though there were so many people.  He really is growing up!  Then he took his mountain bike out there and had fun with the other kids on bikes Kaleb On Oct 21st we had t...
