BMX, BMX, BMX! 2023
Our BMX season was supposed to start mid March but it rained and rained so our first race was a state qualifier in Hampton. This was the first race we did as a team since joining Send It. It was nice to have everyone to cook and hang out with.
I think the kids liked playing in the dirt with their mini bikes more than racing haha
Josh was excited to use the new awning!
After that we went back to most of our weeks being spent at the track. It was a very cool spring so that was nice. Our next big race was the state qualifier at our track. When we first started this sport we sat on the other side by the finish line where no one else sat so when Josh got back from deployment and saw that we have a crowd over there he blamed me for making too many friends๐๐ we really have an awesome bmx family!
Here are some pics of the boys taken by the track operators wife.
We had an awesome day of BMX! Jack took first in the state qualifier! He was so far ahead of the kid in second, I bet he'll be moving up soon! Kaleb made it straight to mains in his first race then went down during in the last race, but he got back up and finished the race giving everyone an air show with some tricks lol
I love this sport and the people we've met along the way!

The boys had a clinic with Cutter Williams and at the end he had them all go to the front gate so I thought this was my perfect shot at riding the track without anyone watching. I got Jack's helmet and bike and took off. It was a lot scarier than I expected and I rode my breaks most of the time and didn't realize how steep the hill out of the 3rd turn was so when I got there I had to pedal to make it up it but at the top I had to stop and catch my breath and that's when I fell over๐
I'm so glad no one saw!
After asking Kenny for over a year to come and try BMX we finally got him to come! He had so much fun and plans on racing! I love that these guys do everything together!
One day we got to the track to race and Jack had to wear his Carhartts because he had left his race pants in the dirt bike trailer. When we were walking in he told me that he hates racing in this pants cause the legs flap and it gets stuck on one side, so he decided to zip tie them. Lol
I love that he solves the problem and doesn't care if someone might laugh at him!
