July 18,2023 Macanaw Island Michigan

Today, after seeing a tornado, we rode a ferry to Mackinac Island where cars aren't allowed and the only ways to get around are bikes and horses.  The water is beautiful! It looks like the Caribbean in some spots!
Jack is still skipping rocks!
Kaleb climbing trees
I guess Kaleb could tell this island was full of rich, fancy people because he went from wearing his hoodie around his waist to around his neck. 😄😄
A little bird chasing after lunch!

We visited an old fort and watched a cannon fire.
I kept seeing signs about their famous fudge, so obviously, I had to get some and it was soooo good!
That evening we went back to the campground and the boys swam, Josh went snorkling, and Barrett and I enjoyed the beach.
We enjoyed our time at this campground so much the boys wanted to get the Michigan flower from here.
To say that we were pleasantly surprised with our visit to Michigan is an understatement!  Josh said he had always pictured mountains up here but it is as flat as can be. Tomorrow we are heading to Lake Superior without a plan so we'll have to see what we can get into up there!
